This position will regularly interface with Business Development in strategic business capture supporting new program introduction and supply base definition. The position will require frequent interface with various customers and will be the sole Operations point of contact for assigned programs.
Requires a candidate with strong leadership skills and the ability to convey effective direction using strong written and verbal skills.
Provides analysis for sequencing of work, such as build and delivery, to ensure smooth operations and optimal use of resources.
Provides analysis on cell performance and productivity to optimize productivity.
Responsible for all or a major portion of processing operations in a plant.
Strong analytical skills required for accurate material and manufacturing planning methodologies, use of leading/lagging metrics in the monitoring of progress against plan and evaluation of root cause and implementation of corrective actions in support of a continuous improvement culture.
Strategic planning of manpower and material to support factory level loading and tactical planning on a daily basis to maximize labor and equipment utilization.
Daily interface with Customer, Program, Manufacturing, Quality and Engineering organizations to ensure customer committed hardware and data deliveries are consistently tracked and achieved.
Completes and documents quality related items and ensures established quality standards are met.
Engages in cost reduction and process improvement activities to ensure efficiency of operations and cost effectiveness.
Conducts basic scheduling analysis to ensure smooth operations and optimal use of facilities.
This position requires a Bachelor's degree in the appropriate discipline and 3+ years of relevant experience.
In the absence of a degree, 7 years of relevant experience is required.
Prior experience in an Operations organization or interfacing with Operations organization on a recurring basis
Superior verbal and written communication skills and be a self-starter able to operate independently with no oversight
Experience in financial, manufacturing, material planning, Earned Value Management Systems (EVMS) and government programs are key traits of the successful candidate
Familiar with SAP or other MRP systems
Drive Continuous Improvement projects
Strong computer skills specifically in using MS Project, and MS Office products is highly desired
Requires interfacing with Business Development in strategic business capture supporting new program introduction and supply base definition
Possess strong leadership skills and the ability to convey effective direction using strong written and verbal skills
Position will require frequent interface with various customers and will be the sole Operations point of contact for assigned programs
Focus/ability to set priories and work independently
Proven ability to handle multiple priorities simultaneously
Adaptability to change in a quickly fast moving environment
Expected travel approximately 10% in support of Manufacturing Process Reviews at Collins Aerospace and Supplier facilities in support of program start-up, cold start and sourcing transitions
Due to special contracts and programs U.S. Citizen required
