What you'll be doing...

Provide support for day-to-day operations of the general software support, data centers, facility and all operations to include monitoring, system activity, network connectivity. Provide support to internal and external customers and vendors on application and provisioning/platform related systems.

Provide support to all support groups including Network Service Center, Telecommunications, Operations, Information Security and Application Support Teams

  • Requires troubleshooting problem areas (in person, by telephone, or systems) in a timely and accurate fashion, and providing the end user assistance where required

  • Researches, resolves, documents and responds to inquiries on supported IT hardware and software based on all available information

  • Responsible for acquiring, maintaining, expanding and disseminating knowledge of relevant support policies, and methods of support delivery, to provide technically accurate solutions to users

  • Responsible for accurate documentation of customer interaction and the proper engaging of next-level support teams as necessary Greater than two years experience in a customer support position, preferably in an IT environment

  • NOC/technical helpdesk experience

  • Strong PC and troubleshooting skills and a working knowledge of MS/DOS, MS/Windows

Implement new software, services, and initiatives. Provide tier support to operations for complex problem resolution. Assist in testing and debugging. Proficiency in software and network routing protocols; SIP; IP Routing; Proficiency in computer and networking security; Familiarity with tracing and networking analysis; Well versed in packet technologies.

What we're looking for...

Professional experienced in the security aspects of multiple platforms, operating systems, software, communications, and network protocols. Strong Information Security technology background with demonstrated knowledge of network security fundamentals. Strong experience in securing Windows and Unix networked environments, preferably with an Internet service delivery background. Familiarity with security reviews, penetration/vulnerability testing, and software QA. Strong understanding of networking protocols such as TCP/IP, UDP, HTTP, FTP, RPC, SSL, SSH, SMTP, SNMP and TLS. Work well independently and within a team, have excellent and strong verbal and written skills, demonstrate strong troubleshooting skills and have an in-depth knowledge about security issues.

You'll need to have:

  • Bachelor's degree or one or more years of work experience.

  • Command line experience specifically unix/linux & Windows

  • Software Change Management experience - release and update of software

  • SAAS experience

  • Familiarity with Genesys

  • Ability to work any of the standard Shifts

  • 1,2 or 3 (ie: 7am-3:30pm, 2:30pm-11pm, 10:30pm

  • 7am), including Weekend shifts as necessary.

  • A degree

  • Software development experience with a base language C++, python, php
