Job Description
The Senior Associate Athletic Director for Development and Revenue Generation reports to the Vice President & Director of Athletics with an indirect reporting line to the Vice President for Institutional Advancement. The position is responsible for fundraising and revenue generation to support the Athletics Department, student-athletes and sport programs. Position is in office with work hours of Monday to Friday from 8am
Duties and Responsibilities:
Support Vice President and Director of Athletics in all areas of revenue generation.
Manage all aspects of athletic development, including but not limited to donor cultivation, direct solicitation, special events, and donor stewardship in securing charitable gifts for the Texan Club and the broader Department of Intercollegiate Athletics.
Work in close consultation with colleagues at the Division of Institutional Advancement and the Tarleton State University Foundation to drive success in the areas of leadership and principal gifts, planned gifts, corporate and foundation gifts, and annual giving with a focus on individual and team metrics and results.
Develop a working knowledge of the Department of Intercollegiate Athletics, assuring effective representation of all aspects of the athletic program and needs for private support, including fundraising initiatives for special projects, unique opportunities for particular sports, annual operational needs, and capital fund efforts.
Manage sensitive and confidential information related to donors, ticket holders, student athletes, coaches, and staff, utilizing discretion and correct decisions.
Establish goals and develop programming to support objectives.
Identification and personal solicitation of prospective donors.
Develop, coordinate, and maintain comprehensive annual, major, and principal gift programs.
Serve as primary departmental contact for NCAA Name, Image, and Likeness (NIL) and communication with collective.
Develop comprehensive plan for athletics facility improvement, naming opportunities, donor-based seating/parking, as well as premium seating.
Provide leadership for staff to meet individual and department goals.
Maintain knowledge of and comply with all rules, regulations, policies, and guidelines of Tarleton State University Foundation Inc., TSU, the WAC and affiliated conferences, and the NCAA.
