Responsible for assisting in the overall direction of information/publication services, including: graphic design, editing, proofreading, and production of department catalogs, bulletins, programs, and related print, digital, and HTML materials.

Provide professional graphic design and printing consultation in regard to quality control, artwork, and supervision of print and web projects.

Direct art photography for projects and publications. Prepares original artwork and photography for publication.

Initiate concepts and designs for advertising marketing materials, publications, and ongoing printed materials.

Consults with various stakeholders and users regarding design and content of publication.

Other duties as assigned by supervisor.

Minimum Qualifications

A high school diploma and five years of appropriate experience. Appropriate college coursework or vocational/technical training may substitute at an equivalent rate for the required experience. If minimum requirements of the position do not require post high school education, an applicant is not required to provide the information on the application.

Additional Minimum Requirements Preferences

Experience creating print and digital media with Adobe Creative Cloud Suite (primarily InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop, After Effects, Premiere Pro).

Experience working in a university or higher education setting.

Experience working in a collaborative team environment.

Some experience with MS Office.

Some experience assisting with large events.

Some experience with video editing.

Your work as a Bilingual Sr. Public Assistance Specialist will make a real difference as you support our Public-Sector practice with various tasks. The Disaster Recovery Specialist-Public Assistance Staff will provide technical assistance to the client in relation to the FEMA regulations associated with the Public Assistance program.This position description incorporates the core responsibilities of the job. It recognizes that other related duties not specifically mentioned might also be performed, and that not all responsibilities may be carried out depending on operational needs.Your knowledge, skills, and background will be enabling us to successfully initiate and deliver projects, and rapidly respond to our clients' needs by having boots on the ground immediately after disaster strikes. The ideal candidate will have demonstrated experience supporting activities related to disaster recovery public assistance programs. This position will interact with all levels of management, field personnel, clients, government officials, and directly with disaster survivors. This role requires an executive presence, and strong verbal and written communication skills. We are looking for a self-motivated, responsible and confident individual with a commitment to integrity and the ability to prioritize multiple projects, meet deadlines, and work collaboratively with minimal supervision. Essential Functions The candidate will perform the following essential functions: * Applies Federal, State and County rules, regulations, policies and procedures related to eligibility for two or more public assistance programs; * Conducts interactive interviews with individuals in need of public assistance at varied locations including the office, the client's home and out-of-home care facilities; * Advises customers over the telephone, in person or in group settings of their rights, responsibilities and eligibility for program participation; explains rules, regulations and policies to customers and the general public; * Determines eligibility for multiple public assistance programs; reviews forms and documents for completeness and consistency; initiates requests for information from outside sources such as banks, insurance companies, other public agencies and county departments; verifies reported information as needed; assists customers in identifying and obtaining information necessary to establish eligibility and/or resolve discrepancies; and monitors customer compliance with program requirements; * Reviews and analyzes customer financial information to determine eligibility for public assistance; learns and calculates benefit amounts to be authorized; and makes other computations and calculations as needed; * Performs a variety of administrative and clerical duties related to assigned duties including filing, typing, word processing, and answering telephones; * Initiates, processes and maintains casework through an automated computer system including entering and retrieving narrative and numerical data; * Writes case narratives and prepares other appropriate documentation in both written and electronic case files; * Sets up and maintains controls to ensure timely actions and quality caseload management; Refers customers who appear in need of other social services to appropriate social services staff; * Makes fraud referrals to the investigative unit when there is a reason to suspect fraud may have occurred;
