This firm are recognised for their success across a range of sectors and are looking for an individual with good leadership skills; able to provide guidance and mentorship to teams and provide leadership to the studio.THE JOB As a registered architect with the AAA or eligible to become registered in Alberta, you will be involved in the following:
Provide leadership and mentorship to project teams, overseeing work allocation, timesheets, project budgets and schedulesWorks energetically with the project team in planning work and developing solutions to technical and design detail problems.
Liaises with client through various phases of the project to ensure client satisfaction; project management
Prepares client presentations and presents design concepts and drawings.
Incorporates Integrated Sustainable Design solutions into projects.
Mentors and directs the work of less experienced staff
Fosters and maintains a collaborative professional working relationship with stakeholders
Writes reports and memos to consultants and vendors to issue changes and track resolutions.
Reviews completed reports, plans, estimates and calculations for coordination.
Participates in team meetings to help resolve project issues, coordination with other disciplines, schedule adherence, and technical issues.
Participates in project reviews
Communicates in a clear, concise, and professional manner at all times, both verbally and in writing and will have regular interface with clients.
Participates and leads staff reviews
You will be able to work on everything from schematic design through to construction phases and work closely with the client to ensure successful project delivery. You will have strong design skills and creative ideas to come up with unique solutions for projects, liaising with clients and various stakeholders. 10 + years of relevant industry experience
Possess a broad range of project experience
Good leadership skills, experienced leading teams and providing mentorship
Excellent design skills, creative and able to work through design issues
Strong communication skills and the ability to work to deadlines is also essential
Excellent client liaison skills; some business development experience is an asset
Familiarity with Revit, strong sense of design
Strong sense of work ethic, a collaborative approach
