NV5 is seeking a Senior Architect who will work in our New York City office to advance and manage architectural design projects for public agencies and private clients. NV5 is an AE firm where architects work in a multi-disciplined environment to design public facilities for agencies such as the NYC School Construction Authority, NYC Department of Design and Construction, as well as universities and others. The Senior Architect will be responsible for all phases of architectural project development, including construction field representation. The successful candidate will be a self-motivated creative problem solver with strong organization, and communication skills both written and graphic. The Senior Architect will have the ability to work independently and in a team environment to advance and complete projects.
Must be able to manage projects of varied type and scale independently, and have a demonstrated ability to develop, detail, and coordinate projects from programming through construction documents including preparing technical specifications.
Construction field support and representation.
Building code analysis and reviews to determine conformance to current codes and standards.
Responsible to coordinate with outside consultants
Graduate architect with 10-15 years of experience.
Proficient in AutoCAD, Knowledge of Revit a plus, Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
