Senior Applications Engineer (Austin, TX)

Applications Engineers demonstrate the highest level of technical aptitude and engineering skills as they ensure NI and customer success. This is a unique role that requires strong technical leadership, desire to work with people, and personal drive. Applications Engineers serve as trusted consultants who stay abreast of industry and technology trends. Successful Applications Engineers effectively balance time between customer and internal activities that leverage their knowledge of NI products and customer applications.

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver advanced technical sales consulting

• Create NI technology demonstrator systems

• Capture Voice of the Customer product feedback

• Flex time into R&D development (implement product feedback)

Success criteria

• Project/program design wins

• Customer satisfaction through project lifecycle (system design, development and deployment)

• Prioritized customer feedback delivered to product R&D team

Basic Qualifications

• STEM-related bachelor's degree

• 5 years of post-academic RF experience or 5 years of text-based (C#/.NET and Python) software engineering experience

• Work location in Austin, Texas

• Availability to travel up to 25%

• US Citizenship is required

• Post-academic REW/CNS applications experience
• NI VST applications experience
