Senior Application Engineer - Temp Assignment

As a Senior Application Engineer you will focus on developing customer applications for metal & plastic additive manufacturing at NAMI - leading AM & innovation center in Saudi Arabia. Development goes from initial benchmark and feasibility studies through validation and verification processes in collaboration with the customer. You will be engaged in customer discussions to identify the relevant needs and suggest product solutions to meet their needs.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES (What You Will Do):

• Lead application development projects from feasibility study to product acceptance by the customer.

• Provide design feedback to customers to optimize products for 3D printing and post-processing.

• Collaborate with quality engineers, manufacturing engineers and customer engineering teams to deliver the optimal solution to the customer.

• Prepare print jobs for manufacturing.

• Support sales responding to RFQs/RFPs.

• Support sales meetings from a technical point of view and support trade shows.

• Supporting sales and marketing for demo parts.

• Create quotations for NPI and volume manufacturing.

• Perform benchmark/time studies to analyze machine capability for specific customer requests.

• Develop and deliver product demonstrations to prospective customers.

• Uses in-depth product knowledge to provide technical expertise to sales staff and the customer through sales presentations and product demonstrations.

• Provide consultation to prospective users and/or product capability assessment and validation.

• Provide technical support and Training to customers when required.

JOB REQUIREMENTS (What You Will Need):

• Bachelor or Master's degree, preferably in Mechanical Engineering.

• 3 years of experience in the additive manufacturing industry (3D Printing Industry).

• 2-5 years of related work experience in industrial environment such as energy, aerospace or automotive industries.

• Ability to read and design engineering specifications across a number of products and materials.

• A strong commitment to providing excellent customer service.

• Professional demeanor with excellent communication skills.

• Proficient in CAD-software (e.g., Solid Works, Siemens NX, Catia, Inventor, 3DXpert …).

• Excellent computer skills (e.g., MS Office, MS Teams).

• Self motivated and ability to work autonomously

• Fluency in English, both written and spoken.

• Ability to spend several months at 3D Systems facilities in EU or USA for training

• Ability to travel both domestically and internationally up to 20% of the time.
