You will lead the design, development, and support of database applications for enterprise-wide system migrations. We are seeking a Senior Application Developer with a passion for continuous delivery and automation.

● Collaborate professionally with technical teams and work with senior management to understand requirements and facilitate solutions.

● Conceptualize new applications, programs, and databases to meet client needs.

Requirements

The person in this role will report to the Team Lead and will perform activities consistent with the position of a Senior Application Developer which will include, but are not limited to:

• Analyze and design SQL solutions to ultimately automate processes.

• Expand and optimize data and data pipeline architecture.

• Translate business requirements into structured and maintainable designs that meet product requirements.

• Lead the design, development, and support of database applications for enterprise-wide system migrations, programming ETL programs using SQL server Integration tools.

• Design and specify test procedures including unit, system, and integration testing.

• Design system/program test data, debug programs using appropriate system tools and ensure system/program results are accurate to meet system/program specifications.

• Apply industry best practices to the software development life cycle (SDLC) employing methodologies such as Agile/Scrum and DevOps concepts.

• Additional responsibilities as they relate to the position and needs of the department.

REQUIRED EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, KNOWLEDGE, & ABILITIES

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or a related field and a minimum of 5-7 years of progressive experience in database systems required.

• 4+ years of experience creating database models and management systems.

• 4+ years of experience with Entity Framework/ORM and data migrations/ETL processes required.

• Experience with TDD and source control tools (TFS, Git, Visual Studio).

• Experience leading SQL/Database initiatives and processes in a continuous delivery environment;

• Familiarity using MS SQL Server and Management Studio to run SSIS packages.

• Expert level of understanding of IT architectures and technical standards.

• General knowledge and understanding of networks (TCP/IP, DNS, SNMP).

• C# programming experience a plus.

• Communicate effectively in an Agile/Scrum environment, both verbally and in writing.

The salary for this position depends upon your qualifications, experience, skill levels, technical competencies, and other criteria. $95,000 - 120,000. Straight-time overtime is sometimes available. Here are some of our other benefits:

Location & Work Environment

This position is full-time and offers a hybrid work arrangement. You may be required to work in an office in Lansing, Michigan onsite approximately 1 to 4 days per month (subject to change). At A.J.
