The Senior Application Architect designs and develops IT applications architecture solutions to business problems in alignment with the enterprise architecture direction and standards. The Senior Application Architect work assignments involve moderately complex to complex issues where the analysis of situations or data requires an in-depth evaluation of variable factors.


You will perform technical planning, architecture development and modification of specifications. Develop specifications for new products/services, applications and service offerings. We assess the compatibility and integration of products/services proposed as standards in order to ensure an integrated architecture across interdependent applications. Begin to influence department's strategy and make decisions on moderately complex to complex issues regarding technical approach for project components, and work is performed without direction. Exercise considerable latitude in resolving objectives and approaches to assignments.


  • Translate business requirements into well-architected solutions that best use the Sitecore platform

  • Lead technical design sessions; architect and document technical solutions that are aligned with business objectives

  • Be a credible domain authority for Sitecore standards across various teams

  • Present architectural solution to business partners

  • Participates in the analysis, evaluation and development of short/long term architecture objectives.

  • Iteratively document and improve architectural approaches, service design, and development processes and approaches.

  • Build and maintain application architecture work and artifacts

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or related field

  • 7 or more years experience as a senior developer in large IT projects

  • 4 or more years experience working on Sitecore implementation

  • At least 2 years of experience crafting .NET and Sitecore solutions

  • Sitecore certified developer on version 7.0 or later

  • Good communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to explain technical standards and requirements to various audiences.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Sitecore MVP status

  • Azure or other cloud experience

  • API development and design experience

  • Full Stack development experience

  • VSTS / Azure DevOps knowledge
