Senior Application Architect - Hybrid

SENIOR APPLICATION ARCHITECT Hybrid Baltimore, MD – 2 days a week on-site in downtown Baltimore C2C OK ALTA IT Services has a 6-month contract opening for an Application Architect to support a new task order on an MD state government program. The Integration Architect/Specialist manages major projects that involve providing professional support services and/or the integration, implementation, and transition of large, complex systems.

THE START DATE FOR THIS POSITION IS MID-SEPTEMBER 2024 Duties and Responsibilities: Provides design and development of e-government solutions and is responsible for technical design and implementation of the architecture. Designs, develops, and maintains infrastructure and backend applications.

Provides expertise in defining the role of broadband and wireless applications. Defines current State architecture blueprints. Provides expertise with web servers, gateways, application servers, and content management systems.

Provides experience in web application technologies and middleware solutions. Researches new technologies and products for their applicability to business processes. Must be able to compare various solutions and determine the most suitable.

Ensures that development efforts are well planned and in agreement with standards. Qualifications: Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited college or university in Engineering, Computer Science, Mathematics, or other related scientific or technical discipline. Master’s degree preferred.

At least 10 years of experience planning, designing, building, and implementing IT application systems. Must have led or been a chief architect in a major IT applications implementation effort. Must have a strong background in software engineering principles and techniques.

Excellent written and verbal communication skills as well as business acumen Ability to compile and organize information and present findings to management. Confident in decision-making and the ability to explain technical processes or choices as needed. Excellent multitasking skills and task management Ability to complete milestones and work toward multiple deadlines simultaneously.

Outstanding problem solver Additional Requirements: At least six (6) years of experience in designing medium to large-scale sites and management of at least five Internet projects. Min Citizenship Status Required:

H1B (C2C OK). Sponsorship is not available. Location: The primary place of performance is HYBRID with 40% onsite requirement at the Baltimore City Headquarters or facility location based on project need. One week per month onsite is required.
