Position summary

T-Mobile is America's supercharged Un-carrier, delivering an advanced 4G LTE and transformative nationwide 5G network that will offer reliable connectivity for all. Senior Analysts, IT Quality Assurance located in Bellevue, WA will lead Finance Back Office (Back Office) software testing for new systems and related upgrades to help ensure financial integrity at T-Mobile.

Position duties and responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Support the new Billing and OSS system and subsequent upgrades, along with the existing 5 disparate billing systems including various financial applications and projects.

  • Understand system functionalities and downstream financial reporting systems, databases, and data warehousing flows to facilitate test design.

  • Participate in test requirements, functional specifications, and technical specification reviews and write business-focused test plans that keep requirement considerations in focus, while managing company priorities.

  • Collaborate with Back Office users to understand the various scenarios including the impact and prioritization of the test requirements.

  • Ensure all scenarios are mapped to the relevant requirements in Jira Align for SOX compliance.

  • Prior to the test window, coordinate with IT and third-party vendors on requirements for proper set up of test environment configuration.

  • Develop test cases, execute test scripts, and document and communicate test results to appropriate parties.

  • Use Jira as a defect tracking system to communicate defects and their status and ensure SOX compliance.

  • Partner with the Back Office business teams to validate test results for accuracy and completeness of test coverage.

  • Represent Back Office teams on defect triage working sessions and assist IT with determining root cause analysis.

  • Identify design Gaps, opportunity for process improvement, and develop training Materials.

  • Follow Back Office processes and procedures to effectively assist team members in ensuring that QA processes and procedures for test environments are followed, and that the integrity of the various environments is upheld.

  • Drive quality across the team by mentoring and training new test resources in existing and new Back Office applications.

  • Identify new automation opportunities, perform Financial Modeling, and work with partners on Proof on Concept (POC) and Implementation.

  • Design new SQL scripts to perform data validation, troubleshoot, and identify issues with the Back Office systems and financial reporting.

  • Telecommuting is permitted, but applicants must live within a reasonable commuting distance.

Skill requirements:

  • Designing, developing, and executing test strategies, test plans, and test cases for Device and Supply Chain Accounting, Service Revenue Accounting, and Billing and Operations Support Systems (OSS) to ensure Financial Integrity.

  • Utilizing Financial Reporting and Data warehousing systems along with creating customized SQL and PL/SQL queries in Teradata databases to cleanse large amounts of data, extract key insights, and then clearly and concisely communicate actionable recommendations based upon insight.

  • Extracting, cleansing, and loading of data from SAP source systems necessary for reconciliation of financial reporting.

  • Utilizing test automation strategies including UI-automation and back-end automation.

  • Identifying, diagnosing, and resolving software defects or issues related to Application Functionality for Billing and OSS, SAP with emphasis on PDM, SD, FI and BW modules.

  • Utilizing Jira Align, qTest, and Jira to ensure all required scenarios are mapped to the relevant requirements and identify possible design gaps.

Experience and education requirements:

PRIMARY REQUIREMENTS: Master's degree in Business Administration, Finance, or its foreign equivalent, or related, and 3 years of relevant work experience.

ALTERNATIVE REQUIREMENTS: Bachelor's degree Business Administration, Finance, or its foreign equivalent, or related, and 5 years of relevant work experience.

The pay range above is the general base pay range for a successful candidate in the state listed. The successful candidate's actual pay will be based on various factors, such as work location, qualifications, and experience.
