Duties

  • Data Presentation & Analysis: (70%) Manage front end report/dashboard design and analytics using Excel, SSRS, PowerPoint and Tableau. Dashboards and reports must take data from various sources and must be consumable and actionable by senior leadership. Be able to talk to data via webinar or face to face presentations.

  • Data Mining and Extraction, Automation: (10%) Knowledge of advanced SQL techniques (Microsoft TSQL, Teradata SQL) experience creating views, tables (derived, volatile and permanent), stored procedures (TSQL) for data Extraction, Transformation and Loads.

  • Data Validation: (10%) Leverage wireless reporting sources such as PEAK, HQ BI Cubes etc as well as internal VZC cubes for verification and alignment on "source of truth", as well as working with senior leadership to ensure metric logic is in alignment with business

  • Special Project: (10%) Ability to communicate and work on cross departmental projects as data enablement SME.

What we're looking for...

You'll need to have:

  • 4 year college degree in Business, Economics, Finance, Information Systems, Computer Science or equivalent work experience.

  • 2 years relevant work experience in a reporting, business intelligence and or operational support capacity.

  • Teradata SQL, SQL Server TSQL experience. Must be able to free write SQL for ad hoc reporting.

Even better if you have:

  • Experience with Tableau and SFDC.

  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously

  • Ability to organize large amounts of data in a way that can be consumed by leadership to make business decisions.

  • Strong interpersonal, verbal and written skills

The position work closely with Market Access leadership to deliver key business objectives through integrated analysis and strategic coordination with the Market Access Leadership Team. Ensures agreed upon priorities receive coordinated, integrated, effective and overall timely action across all units within the team. Responsible for all the day-to-day Market Access field operations and leads all related core process development and management. It will manage, data, analytics reporting, financial & budget reporting, and various sensitive initiatives supporting Market Access. Requires the ability to lead, processes and system development within the organization as well external stakeholders. The position requires strong collaboration skills, customer focus, and the ability to effectively interact with a variety of internal stakeholders, departments, sales and marketing management, strategic partners, market intelligence, and outside vendors. This position maintains focus on continuous improvement and creation of industry best internal and customer facing operations and processes. The position also has direct responsibility for the market access budget, key meetings and report generation. The position will work with all members of the leadership team to ensure we have the appropriate analytics in place and to ensure continuity across the team. Essential Job Functions: * Monitors and follows up on market access operating issues and activities, e.g. ad hoc requests from home office and field, etc. * Gathers and processes data related to, but not limited to, performance, productivity, CRM, account management, and landscape * Tracks the allocation and utilization of resources, e.g. headcount, budget especially travel, CRM use and monitors adherence to Avanir policies and procedures * Analyze market data for pull through strategy and communicates and collaborates with key internal and external stakeholders regarding market access metrics including formulary and pull through. * Coordinates the planning and execution of field and broader market access meetings and teleconferences including POA planning * Serves as a liaison between AVANIR functional areas to research and resolve operational issues. * Provides high level communication with alliance partners and ensures our processes and analytics are consistent. * Ability to create and deliver standard and ad hoc reports and correspondence as identified by the Head of Market Access Team. * Demonstrate excellent written and oral communication skills – able to provide compelling and effective communication across all levels of the organization. Education/Qualifications: * Bachelor degree is required * At least twelve years of pharmaceutical industry experience * Highly proficient in Microsoft Office * Strong communication and leadership skills to drive change management * Superior presentation skills that drive action and strategy * Excellent analytical skills * Expertise in payer markets including understanding of all major payer segments, payer operations/financial drivers and budgets, formulary access management, coverage decision processes and utilization management. * Experience / knowledge of working in Matrix Management Structure with Project Management, Coordination and People Management in a Team environment * Proficient in Analytics and strong excel spreadsheet skills are a must Physical Demands and Work Environment Physical requirements This position primarily works in an office environment.
