The Position

We are growing! The Senior Analyst is a brand-new role at Veracyte.

The successful candidate will partner with our commercial leaders to drive and measure sales force performance by providing operational expertise and insights on analytics, reporting and incentive compensation. This person will be accountable for identifying and reporting on key indicators of sales performance and market opportunity, using those findings to put forth recommendations to leadership. Projects include business planning, market segmentation, pipeline analysis, coverage optimization, incentive compensation, and ongoing performance measurement.

This is an opportunity to harness analytical and operational expertise to increase understanding of drivers that influence sales performance as well as execute incentive compensation plans that align sales force behavior with business objectives. This position reports to our Associate Director of Commercial Analytics and will have the opportunity to directly manage an associate team member.

Key components of the role include:

  • Lead the execution of operational processes including territory alignments, incentive compensation and reporting.

  • Manage the development, implementation, communication and administration of sales commission programs, plans, policies and quotas.

  • Calculate commission/incentive award payments to sales personnel and ensure accuracy and timeliness of commission payments as outlined in the plan.

  • Partner with commercial leaders to prepare for quarterly business reviews. Prepare scorecard and reports and share insights on the data and sales performance results.

  • Develop and implement analysis that identify national and regional drivers behind sales performance including sales pipelines, trends, market share and customer segments

  • Contribute to the improvement of systems to effectively track or capture data.

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams such as Finance, Sales Training, Marketing, Managed Care, HR and IT to provide holistic approach on business situations that affect deliverables.

Who You Are

You have been a high performing analyst for at least 3 years within a commercial organization focusing on sales incentive compensation and operational analytics. Commercial leaders have been impressed with your curiosity, expert analysis skills, attention to detail, presentation of data and ability to operationalize recommendations.

Deep analysis and reporting areas have included sales pipeline, territory potential, territory organization and territory optimization. You've played a key role in designing compensation plans to maximize performance. Collaboration is a strength of yours and you quickly develop relationships with peers across Sales, Operations, Marketing, Finance, HR, and others to be most effective in your role and recommendations.

This role will oversee data acquisition, data load & stewardship, ad hoc analysis, CRM maintenance, dashboard development, project management and data warehouse design/implementation. Additional responsibilities will include sales force effectiveness analysis and Incentive Compensation design and administration. Responsibilities * Pharmaceutical databases * Complete Symphony Health data, non-retail data sets, longitudinal patient data and others * Data monitor Hospital and IDN level data, including managing affiliations and IDN group membership * Complete Healthcare Distribution Association suite of EDI data sets, including but not limited to 852, 867, 840 series, and 870 * Monitor Hospital Data from discharge data sets as those provided by Truven Health or Practice Fusion * Review NPPES database and National Provider Identifier records * Manage Commercial data and processes within Veeva Network, Open Data, Vault and the suite of Veeva products * Stay current on Sunshine Act Reporting data integration and data needed to fulfill reporting requirements * Action? American Hospital Association database and American Medical Association database, full understanding the PDRP opt out rules, along with multi-use licenses * Manage Third Party Logistics (3PL) data covering sales, unfinished/finished goods, inventory, customer masters, invoicing, shipping confirmation, etc. * Data Design, Integration and Programming * Responsible for managing all data management deliverables for one or more compounds of medium to high complexity * Serves as the single point of contact for Commercial Operations for data management * Analyzes and provides analytic rationale for strategic business decisions * Collaborates with IT to build commercial data warehouse, contract and rebate administration systems, business intelligence tools, and analytics * Manages off-shore data stewardship team * Aligns the correct IDs (DEA, HIN, SAP, DDD, NPI, etc.) to accounts utilizing third party source and membership tools * Ensures customer alignment across internal systems for data accuracy and efficiency. * Proposes suggestions to functional leaders around resource allocation within the project to ensure priorities are being addressed timely; keeping all involved business units informed on project status. Responsible for developing and implementing solutions to any issues that may arise on the project * Manages decisions around choice of External Service Providers for data quality. Takes a leadership role in process improvement initiatives * Incentive Compensation / Sales Analytics * Design and administer quarterly incentive compensation plans across all eligible sales roles * Analyze quarterly IC results and present health metrics to senior management * Implement and improve Xactly IC software to automate IC solution and implement Xactly AlignStar territory management tool * Work with sales management team to update territory design and target accounts * Provide analysis and insights into sales performance and other analysis as needed * Performs other duties as assigned Qualifications * MS degree with a minimum of 8 years of industry experience, biotechnology or pharmaceutical experience required * Must have deep understanding and knowledge of data management tools and processes, business intelligence, and integrated data warehousing solution designing. * Strong analytical and project management skills required; including a thorough understanding of how to interpret customer business needs and translate them into application and operational requirements and deliver optimized technical solution focused on business process. * Proficient in SQL, pharma datasets, MS- Office (esp.
