The Senior Analyst plays an important role in the day to day billing and revenue processes. This position will be critical in high growth software company to ensure accurate invoices are created out of the newly written billing automation add on to SAP and that the billing processes are streamlined. It will also be critical in ensuring internal alignment and sign off of billing timelines and deliverables to keep customer satisfaction high. The Senior Analyst must be able to collaboratively work with the revenue, sales and business operation groups to flush out any recurring issues and make adjustments to processes accordingly. In the case that a billing system is implemented in the future, the Senior Analyst will be critical in the implementation of the new software.

WORK LOCATION: Hopkinton, MA

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Taking ownership of the creation of all invoices through the automation workflow in SAP.

  • Assisting in comparing invoicing to prior month benchmarks as well as usage reports and contracts to ensure complete billing accuracy.

  • Liaising with the offshore invoice validation team and SAP to ensure any changes requested are made permanently.

  • Taking ownership of the operational process and working with the technical teams and the billing team lead to continue to improve and refine invoice creation

  • Provide assistance with internal and external audit requirements as needed

  • Assist in special projects within finance departments.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • BS in Accounting, Finance, Mathematics or related field or equivalent work experience

  • At least 2 years of work experience as a financial or billing analyst.

  • Have excellent analytical skills and be able to perform complex reconciliations

  • Must have strong Excel skills

  • Knowledge of SAP and/or Zuora a plus

  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, and the ability to effectively interact with senior management and individuals with varying degrees of financial knowledge

  • Good planning and organizational skills to balance and prioritize work
