Overview

Responsible for developing pricing analytic tools and models to perform research and analysis necessary to support business unit strategies and initiatives relative to mortgage origination and pricing strategies.

Job Description

  • Develop Pricing Analytic tools and models

  • Conduct business analysis for development/enhancement of Mortgage Origination and Pricing systems

  • Provide analysis of government agency regulations and translation of same into business requirements

  • Provide analysis of opportunity and risk of new product offerings

  • Perform analysis of competitive position and automation of competitive intelligence reporting

  • Perform demand elasticity analysis and build profit optimization models

  • Perform margin management analytics and develop appropriate strategies

  • Conduct analysis of closing ratios and fall-out sensitivity

  • Conduct analysis of prepayment, EPO, and EPD metrics

  • Provide analysis of pipeline behavior including extension/roll/relock activity, time to deliver, number of days from file delivery to purchase, and other operational cost metrics

  • Create and Implement reporting as needed

  • Performs other related duties as required and assigned

  • Demonstrates behaviors which are aligned with the organization's desired culture and values

Ideal Candidate will have the following:

  • 3-5 years of experience with SQL and Excel

  • 3-5 years of experience in the residential mortgage finance, preferably with such experience in Secondary Marketing or Correspondent/Wholesale/Retail Lending.

  • Must be highly proficient in Excel and Word

  • Experience in Data and/or Quant analytics, or in software application development for the financial/mortgage industry

  • Experience working on multiple programs or projects with a high degree of complexity and scope is preferred

  • Must be a team player with strong attention to detail and able to work independently

  • Proven track record at delivering timely and accurate information in a fast-paced environment

  • Excellent critical thinking, problem solving, mathematical skills and sound judgment

  • Strong business acumen and ability to interface with executive management
