Senior Analyst, Pharmacy Analytics

Summary

In this role, you will perform complex analysis functions and develop solutions based on thorough and comprehensive research to support the Pharmacy Spend Category. You will work with multiple data sources and across business lines to develop new capabilities and identify issues to create solutions and resolve business problems. You will also present recommendations to management and / or external stakeholders and provide guidance in selecting alternatives with impact to the team or functional area's bottom line.

Responsibilities:

• Serve as lead for projects for analytics request, communicating initiatives to providers, creating data sets, and coordinating ad hoc analyses to address inquiries and resolve anomalies.

• Maintain current contract knowledge for Vizient and competitors in order to provide meaningful and accurate financial assessment.

• Analyze line-item data submitted by the providers to determine current product usage and cost through data mining, cross-referencing, and pricing application, incorporating contract details, benchmarking, and clinical considerations.

• Consult with Pharmacy Implementation Team to gather requirements for new requests and determine the appropriate analytical solution.

• Use acquired knowledge and/or GPO experience to analyze the non-pharmacy and pharmacy portfolios including packaging and pricing validation.

• Identify trends and performance levels for metrics based on established benchmarks or create benchmarks using standard or customized approaches.

• Design and create charts, graphs, tables, and reports to support findings and develop recommendations.

• Provide guidance, training, and mentorship to other analysts and team members.

Qualifications:

• Relevant degree preferred.

• 5 or more years of relevant experience required.

• Experience in a healthcare GPO setting highly preferred.

• Advanced skills in Excel and Access highly preferred.

• Working knowledge of SQL queries preferred.

• Strong analytical skills and highly organized with exceptional attention to detail preferred.

• Strong written and verbal communication, project management, and presentation skills a plus.

Estimated Hiring Range:

$68,500.00 - $99,400.00
