The Senior Analyst role within DaVita's People (Human Resources or HR) Insights & Analytics team is designed to compile complex data sets, produce ongoing regular reporting, generate insight, and help draw conclusions and recommendations about DaVita's business using DaVita's people data. This role will have a focus on providing analytical support to our internal Talent Management Team while fortifying relationships with key stakeholders across the business. The successful candidate will also develop new analytical solutions, support project initiatives, have a mind for process improvement, and consult on strategies related to how DaVita quantifies and improves the talent leadership pipeline. This position reports to a leader on the People Insights & Analytics team.

Responsibilities:

  • Identify problems and propose potential creative analytical solutions

  • Make recommendations aligned with business goals and strategy

  • Participate and lead projects and programs with people data, prioritizing work based on changing demands

  • Create effective visualizations tailored to the context of the data and the audience

  • Proactively seek to improve processes and programs

  • Ensure the integrity of sensitive, confidential data

  • Proficiency in one or more software tools like Excel, Workday (or other HRIS), SQL, Tableau, SPSS, and R

  • Explain complex, technical issues in a simple, effective way

  • Proactively collaborate, guide, and provide expertise to internal business partners

  • Present to audiences at varied skill-levels, telling a story with the data

  • Build strong partnerships with stakeholders within and outside of the team

  • Maintains current Talent visualizations and data in Tableau, Anaplan, or other systems

  • Additional job duties as assigned

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree required in business, economics, engineering, finance, mathematics, statistics, psychology or other applicable quantitative or management related field.

  • 1+ year in a business environment, gathering and using data to solve business problems. Management consulting or similar experience a plus.

  • 2 years of experience in database querying and understanding of relational database design, SQL and/or Workday preferred.

  • Experience using working with multiple data sources to generate insights from analyses, answering questions, creating solutions, and manipulating large data sets to measure the effectiveness of projects, programs, and efforts for an organization.

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills; experience collaborating on project teams, managing relationships with clients, and presenting to audiences.

  • Intermediate to advanced skills in Excel, Word, Outlook and PowerPoint required.

  • 1+ year experience working with data visualization tools & Techniques (Tableau, or other similar systems such as Looker, Microstrategy, Qlik) a plus.

  • Experience with Anaplan or Oracle a plus

  • 2 or more years of related Human Resources experience preferred.

EDUCATION, TRAINING AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS Bachelor's degree is required; Minimum of one (1) year analytics experience required or comparable healthcare experience, multi-company, multi-location environment preferred.; Healthcare revenue cycle (provider side) experience and knowledge preferred; Data manipulation, forecasting, financial reporting, account analysis and account reconciliation experience required; generating report experience is preferred; Demonstrated experience in analytical problem solving (including statement of problem, identification and collection of pertinent data, analysis, recommendation, and re-evaluation) strongly preferred; ability to travel as needed required.
