Role:

The Senior Analyst Payroll Accounting is responsible for providing assistance with the financial close process of the Company and support to Finance and Payroll as it relates to their accounting responsibilities. The associate will be able to perform in-depth analysis of compensation expenses, and be able to report results to senior management and the business leaders.

Responsibilities:

  • Prepare monthly journal entries and supporting schedules for compensation expenses such as the following:

Incentives quarterly and annual for sales and non-sales plans

Equity compensation

Severance

Foreign entities

PTO , profit sharing and other payroll related accruals

  • Perform accrual calculations and present recommendations on changes

  • Reconcile and balance compensation related accounts to maintain control and accuracy

  • Identify discrepancies and their causes and recommendations for corrective action

  • Identify reasons for significant fluctuations and communicate conclusions to Finance management

  • Assist Finance Analysis, Planning and Reporting team in preparation of forecast's compensation related expenses

  • Become the subject master expert for compensation expenses

  • Research and resolve business groups' inquiries

Requirements:

  • 4 Year College Degree in Accounting or Finance required

  • 3-5 years related experience required

  • Strong analytical ability

  • Strong analytical ability

  • Detail oriented

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills

  • Ability to work with different levels of management

  • Excellent organizational skills

  • Strong Excel skills are required

  • Understanding of Accounting Principles and Internal Controls

  • Ability to prioritize multiple projects and adapt to changing priorities

  • Ability to work independently

  • Strong team player

  • Military education or experience may be considered in lieu of civilian requirements listed

Knowledge of accounting principles and demonstrate proficiency in computer applications such as Microsoft Windows, Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Word, and Microsoft Access required.
