What you will be doing

Albertsons Companies has a robust loyalty program with over 38M digital members, driving double digit enrollment year over year. Our passionate team of customer aficionados continue to create an industry-leading loyalty platform that drives emotional relationships with its members by offering benefits, experiences, and partnerships that elevate their food and shopping experience. We engage with our customers in a meaningful way throughout their food experience, in and out of the grocery shopping experience, and foster customer love, ultimately driving lifetime value.

We are currently hiring for the Senior Analyst, Loyalty & Subscription Programs to assist in achieving Albertsons Companies ambition of building customers' lifetime love. You will have the exciting opportunity to be at the center of creating "For U" and paid subscription FreshPass, building best in class loyalty programs. You will help develop membership strategy, identify customer unmet needs, new benefit, and partnership opportunities, while leveraging our rich member data. If so, then you will excel in this role!

The position will preferably be based in Pleasanton, CA with most of the Loyalty organization. However, we are open to candidates near divisional offices in Boise, ID; or one of our main regional offices (Seattle, WA; Portland, OR; Denver, CO; Dallas, TX; Chicago, IL; Fullerton, CA; or Phoenix, AZ).

Main responsibilities

  • Capture customers' lifetime love by placing them at the center of everything we do. Lead with the customer as the center, leveraging customer data, insights, and trends to inform program strategy and customer experiences.

  • Support loyalty membership strategy and execution across the enterprise, building a world class set of loyalty program benefits/perks, features, partnerships, and experiences to win customers for life.

  • Play a lead role to create customer acquisition, engagement, and retention strategies for our free membership loyalty program (for U) and our paid subscription program (FreshPass), partnering cross-functionally with teams, including product and marketing teams, to test, scale and bring to market.

  • Develop strategies and business cases that showcase the financial benefits of driving loyalty growth and engagement.

  • Support Loyalty Programs (free and paid) strategies to define new features/enhancements/program design that will accelerate enrollment and/or engagement and overall program management and execution.

  • Collaborate with Loyalty Programs Marketing to develop Annual and Quarterly Planning, partnering with the Marketing Communications and CRM teams to create robust marketing and communication strategies and integrated omnichannel marketing plans.

  • Analyze customer data, metrics, and dashboards to create recommendations to gain deeper understanding of member behaviors to support new and enhanced products and consumer experiences.

  • Communicate business performance in a clear and insightful way to facilitate timely and informed decision making.

  • Build partnerships across broader loyalty team, marketing, shopper experience, product, engineering, corporate and division marketing & operations teams to execute loyalty programs.

The salary range is $83,000 to $108,000 annually. Starting salary will vary based on criteria such as location, experience, and qualifications. There may be flexibility for exceptional candidates. Benefits may include medical, dental, vision, disability and life insurance, sick pay (accrued based on hours worked), PTO/Vacation Pay (accrued based on hours worked) or Flexible Time Off, paid holidays (8-9 days annually), bereavement pay, and retirement benefits (such as 401(k) eligibility).

What we are searching for

  • Bachelor's degree required; MBA preferred

  • 5+ years of experience in building new digital loyalty capabilities and products across a large organization

  • Mix of consulting and/or client-side experience in loyalty programs

  • Experience of taking data driven insights to building new and innovative loyalty & digital experiences

  • Strong ability to develop structured frameworks and approaches AND innovative thinking to solve complex challenges in a fluid environment

  • Strong ability to create, build and leverage relationships and executive presence, while at the same time have willingness to roll up the sleeves to solve problems

  • Strong analytical skills

  • Excellent communications skills with respect to translating business needs into a data analysis approach and translating analysis results back into business terms. Ability to synthesize and clearly communicate findings and provide actionable opportunities.

  • Exceptional project management skills; ability to prioritize, execute and meet tight deadlines

  • High energy, passion, and curiosity to learn

  • Proven success in building cross-functional relationships with positive, people-oriented, and collaborative attitude

  • Some travel required, 10% of time.
