TITLE

Senior Analyst Inventory & Cost Accounting Systems

LOCATION

Orrville, Ohio (Close proximity to Cleveland/Akron)

REPORTS TO

Manager Inventory & Cost Management Systems

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Provide technical expertise across business functions, understanding the relationship between the business and data and technology that support the business or product.

  • Investigate questions and issues, work with applicable subject matter experts to assist with requests, ensure data quality and drive resolution, and escalate issues for further investigation and options for consideration.

  • Assist with a variety of financial and business activities including, but not limited to, financial and data analyses, budgeting, forecasting, business intelligence, performance measurement and activity costing.

  • Develop, publish, and monitor complex reports to be used across the enterprise.

  • Work with business partners, stakeholders and other team members to identify and understand highly intricate business requirements and processes in order to recommend and support the delivery of quality technical solutions.

  • Assist with incident, enhancement, and implementation testing as needed.

  • Maintain and provide control documents for audits (change logs, reconciliations, Standard Operating Procedures, etc.).

  • Identify areas of improvements and standardization

  • Ensure exceptional service to Smucker Partners

  • Support various cross-functional projects

SELECTION CRITERIA

Education

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance is required

  • Computer Science or Information Systems minor is strongly preferred

Experience

  • A minimum of 3 years of accounting, financial systems/reporting, and/or information systems experience is required

Other

  • Accuracy and attention to detail required

  • Analytical and critical thinking skills required

  • Intermediate to expert Excel skills are required (very proficient with pivots and vlookups, creating analyses)

  • Strong communication/relationship building skills

This will specifically include leadership over the design, architecture, and governance of shared data models existing across cloud and on-prem applications as our organization consists of 13 ERP applications with multiple cloud based supporting applications. The analyst will analyze business requirements, processes and system integration considerations to determine their feasibility, time requirements, compatibility with current systems, architecture standards, and provide appropriate technology solutions. This position will be an office based role with minimal travel required. Primary Job Responsibilities include but are not limited to: * Lead the architecture and design of the Quanex data integration into consistent, unified views * Responsible for enterprise master data management design, architecture, and execution * Engage with business users with goal of gather business requirements and scope of work * Facilitate best practices relating to data integration for operational actions and analytic business needs * Provides administration and support on a number of applications including Infor CSI, OneStream, and Salesforce * Ability to deliver SOX compliance reporting to internal audit relating to the above listed applications. * Coordinates closely with data warehouse | business team to reduce amount of time to deliver data for analytics * Excels at testing and debugging API, web services, and other integration related tools and processes * Familiar with business intelligence best practices and standard procedures associated with data governance * Creates technical documents which provide the ability for application team members to assist in analytics work * Maintains and upgrades all associated systems and applications. Is thought leader for future state planning Technical Requirements: * Strong knowledge of the Talend suite of integration tools specifically the Talend Cloud Data Management Platform * Demonstrable experience with architectures and protocols to include SOAP, REST, web services, Json, XML * Has knowledge of or is willing to obtain through training and certifications proficiency in the RPA Dev Platform * Hands on experience with data extraction, staging, and transformation * 4+ years' experience integrating SaaS cloud based solutions with on prem legacy applications. * Knowledge of data integration best practices to minimize data storage and processing power costs * Experience in integrating technologies such as AI, machine learning, and predictive analytics into data models * Knowledge of MS SQL SSAS, associated cube creation, and PowerBI a big plus * Demonstrably and deeply skilled at writing SQL queries Our Ideal Candidate will have: * Bachelor's Degree in related field; MBA in Information Technology preferred * A minimum of 4 years in a data integration role * Business analytical skills detailing analytics needs and developing solutions with all levels of business users * Good communication skills detailing benefits of business intelligence solutions to leadership * Project management abilities including project planning, deliverables creation, and scheduling * Knowledge leader with ability to train and coach technical team members on the Talend tool set * Ability to communicate and explain integration concepts in an easy to understand language * Certification a big plus: Talend Data Integration v7 Certified Developer Quanex Building Products Corporation Akron OH
