OVERVIEW

The Senior Analyst for GEA is an individual contributor role. The Sr. SA is responsible for daily equity plans administration and processing, internal customer reporting, such as Accounting, Payroll, Treasury, HR Compensation, Tax, and internal and external auditors, employee/ equity plan participant interface at all employee levels. The role assists the GEA Director with various projects, planning, and issues resolution. Acts as resource to Equity Analyst in GEA Department.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Administer all aspects of Gap's global equity plans as part of the Global Equity Administration Team in Gap's Legal Department

  • Prepare monthly, quarterly and annual financial reporting.

  • Prepare stock-based compensation expense reports, including partnering with key finance and accounting business partners.

  • Lead the stock option and equity award grant process, including grant agreements and related participant communications.

  • Responsibility and accountability for administration of stock option and award grants, releases, exercises, and cancellations, ensuring accurate tax withholding and timely reporting to Payroll.

  • Lead ESPP administration and reporting, including supporting new strategies around employee communication and participation.

  • Help manage international tax and securities compliance, including international reporting and filings, such as China SAFE and France and UK annual reporting

  • Serve as key contact for internal and external auditor requests and ensure compliance with SOX controls

  • Manage tracking and reporting of Section 16 insider transactions.

  • Develop and maintain global equity team resource materials, including procedures manual.

  • Help manage insider trading window program, tracking and related communications.

  • Respond to and resolve simple to complex issues related to global equity programs, including queries from employees as well as internal business partners

  • Work closely with outside vendors, such as brokers and transfer agent

KEY EXPERIENCES

  • Ability to work on problems of diverse scope, demonstrating sound judgment in selecting methods and techniques for obtaining solutions.

  • Deep knowledge of stock administration principles and Equity Edge Online/ E*TRADE platform.

  • Strong understanding of financial reporting principles related to equity compensation

  • International equity program experience preferred.

  • Detail oriented.

  • Ability to multi-task and prioritize in a fast-paced environment.

  • Excellent customer service skills (e.g., ability to partner with cross-functional teams, including HR, tax, payroll, accounting and financial reporting).

  • Proven communication skills, both written and verbal.

  • Must possess self-motivation, enthusiasm, and a positive attitude.

  • Advanced knowledge of MS Office applications (pivot tables, vlookup, mailmerge)

  • 7+ years stock administration experience.

  • Finance/Accounting degree or equivalent work experience preferred.

  • CEP preferred.
