The Travel Experiences & Partnerships Team within the Global Premium Products & Benefits Organization is responsible for executing the end-to-end travel strategy to deliver a connected customer journey by leveraging Amex assets and partnerships.

The Senior Analyst will be an integral member of the Emerging Travel team, supporting operational excellence in the management of key partner-driven card benefits & Membership Reward opportunities in the travel space, including but not limited to Car Rental/Ride Share and select airport benefits. This important role supports the team with day-to-day benefit management, ensuring flawless operational execution and delivering best-in-class value and customer experiences to our Card Members. Sitting in the Global Loyalty Center of Excellence, this role will also require close collaboration with key internal stakeholders and partners across the organization.

The successful candidate will be a results-oriented team player, with a flexible attitude, passion for innovation and partnerships and excellent interpersonal skills.

Core Responsibilities Include:

  • Act as benefit expert for key Travel partners; provide ongoing recommendations for improvements and efficiencies and provide thought leadership around future strategy

  • Advise and guide key marketing stakeholders about partner benefits

  • Lead the marketing claims and terms creation process, coordinating and liaising with key stakeholders across the organization to implement

  • Oversee flawless execution of invoicing for key benefit partners

  • Support ad-hoc Compliance and audit related projects

  • Deliver ongoing analytics, insights and performance metrics; develop benefit reporting across team as needed

  • 2-3 years working experience.

  • Energetic self-starter with excellent relationship skills and the ability to drive results within a fast-paced, matrixed environment

  • Proven ability to communicate effectively with partners and senior leadership, one-on-one and by email

  • Attention to detail and ability to drive results and ensure flawless execution

  • Strong project management skills with strengths in managing multiple priorities concurrently, operating autonomously and prioritizing effectively

  • Assertive, proactive and collaborative, with the willingness to take initiative, challenge the status quo, and think strategically to solve issues

  • Proven track-record for building and leveraging relationships and comfort working with a variety of internal and external partners to achieve goals and resolve issues

Central business travel payments are a crucial part of this suite of products and core to GCS' value proposition as they allow corporate clients to provide their employees, contractors and visitors a seamless travel and expensing experience. The GCS Travel Partnership team explores new partnerships and builds on existing partnerships in travel to establish our next levers of growth. As part of our team, the Senior Manager, Travel Distribution Partnerships will build and drive a global strategy for Travel Management Company (TMC) partnerships to create a seamless travel payment experience for American Express' corporate clients and develop American Express' business. Responsibilities * Create and drive a global strategy for TMC partnerships to grow centrally billed corporate business, increase data quality and improve client experience * Provide strategic guidance for a team of partner managers to develop American Express' business and ongoing relationships with American Express' key TMC partners * Identify and unlock opportunities to grow American Express' business with TMC partners through sales leads and virtual payment expansion * Develop and implement global TMC data integration standards with a link into American Express' central payment platform * Set global standards for TMC communication, partner training and TMC-related go-to-market concepts * Foster executive relationships between partners' and American Express' senior management * Ensure partnerships are managed in line with regulatory and compliance requirements * Conduct global contract negotiations, including financial constructs and SLAs * Collaborate with account management teams and leadership to understand client needs and how partners are impacting the client experience * Collaborate with product management and product development teams to ensure seamless integration of payment features and data streams * Identify opportunities and provide input on American Express product vision, strategy, roadmap, and features.
