The Opportunity

The Senior Analyst, Data Management works in the newly created Growth Marketing insights team, reporting to the Marketing Data Management Director. As Ally continues our Digital Transformation, we are placing a critical focus on expanding our data-driven insights. This role will play a pivotal part in helping to integrate paid marketing data, market research data, organic data, and line of business data into our marketing data warehouse. This role will be responsible for curating, transforming, and leveraging raw data into consumable, analytics-ready outputs in order to enable business intelligence partners and data science teams.

This role works from the Ally office in Charlotte NC - Hybrid schedule 3 days in office/2 from home.

The Work Itself

  • Develop subject matter expertise in the marketing data world: ad server, social media, research, etc.

  • Participate in the development of KPIs to increase the effectiveness and efficiency of Ally marketing spend.

  • Make sure data is ingested, transformed, scheduled, and ready to be used for analytics.

  • Strong working knowledge of data storing and processing large data sets.

  • Work closely with various data owners across business lines to create a fluid ecosystem of business and marketing metrics updated regularly.

The Skills You Bring

  • 3+ Years of experience in analytics, data management, or marketing measurement

  • Strong application knowledge of SQL, dbt, Gitlab, and 1 year of experience working with Snowflake.

  • Experience with digital marketing data (Google Campaign Manager, Social Media, Programmatic) preferred.

  • Bachelor's degree in Mathematics, Economics, Marketing, Statistics, Information Science or similar background preferred, advanced degree a plus.

  • Clear understanding of conversion funnel metrics, analytics, and levers for marketing success.

  • Ability to work across cultures and functions.

  • Strong organizational, analytical and interpersonal skills.

  • Strong working knowledge of data storing and processing large data sets.

  • Ability to prioritize workload and balance multiple initiatives and efforts.
