Job Purpose/Summary:

This position is responsible for working with their respective sales leadership, CIM, internal business partners, and replenishment manager for assigned categories to drive all supply chain and replenishment related activities to help meet customer instock goals, forecast accuracy, internal AOP and fill rate metrics.

Essential Duties/Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and distribute daily business reports/recaps to internal teams to provide clarity on instock positions and potential for store and DC outs; as well as other daily reports that bring visibility to the pipeline by category for the total team.

  • Owning the communication and execution of all modular activity with the customer service team and the customer replenishment team such as communicating MOD matrix to customer service (including all adds/deletes); meeting weekly with customer service to monitor order accuracy; Collaborate with customer service and CIM to update external/internal systems to reflect changes; execute mod tracker; elevate any known potential opportunities with MOD execution.

  • Reviewing and influencing instock positions at the store and DC levels by reviewing the pipeline daily for any items below goal; proactively working to backfill DC shorts; and working with customer service to provide add recommendations to support improved instock performance.

  • Monitoring markdowns weekly and reviewing demand forecast for any items that are trending upward. Proactively working with the customer replenishment team to resolve any items of concern.

  • Review daily orders vs supply plan (customer forecast) and communicate known opportunities/gaps to customer.

  • Working with internal partners and the customer to move close dated product/potential distressed product.

  • Reviewing and managing the weekly allocation file to understand available inventory and provide guidance on where to allocate product to the customer service team. Communicating overconsumption opportunities and working to solve.

  • Tracking COMAC activity at store level to ensure there is enough product on hand to set modular activity in stores. Regularly updating the customer replenishment team on comac execution at store level.

  • Building manual orders, monitoring product to DCs, and creating scripts to push inventory to the stores for all one time buys or limited time offers.

  • Reviewing store on hand inventory vs POS to identify stores with phantom inventory and working with replenishment to right size inventory position.

  • Communication of late trucks and impact to instock positions to customer replenishment team.

  • Assisting in root cause and resolution of OTIF/SQEP (or other customer programs) related opportunities.

  • Partner with customer service on truck optimization to add product to relevant DC/item combinations to drive cost saving efficiencies.

  • Managing replenishment relationship by attending regularly scheduled meetings or other scheduled connects with the customer. The 1st line of communication with the replenishment manager on all replenishment related activity.

  • The potential candidates must perform other duties as needed.

Requirements:

Education: Bachelor's degree or relevant professional experience.

Experience: 3 plus years forecasting and or demand planning preferred.

Computer Skills: Proficient in Microsoft Office applications; above average Microsoft Excel Skills.

Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Special Skills: Time management, multi-tasking, problem solving and being a team player is a must.

Supervisory: NA.

Travel: Local travel as needed to Wal-Mart Bentonville Offices.
