Human Resources Team Overview
The Human Resources (HR) team is undergoing an exciting transformation to improve HR operations and systems! We are actively seeking a Senior Analyst, Compensation to join our fast-growing team. This position is responsible for leading core compensation policies, programs, and processes (including job evaluation, salary structure development, benchmarking, etc.). The Senior Analyst, Compensation will also play a meaningful role in the analysis, design, implementation, and advancement of holistic employee value proposition. As part of the team that shapes the direction of total rewards at Uncommon, the ideal candidate is a hands-on influencer - not afraid to roll up their sleeves and get projects done - and approaches work with a data-driven mindset. Key responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Compensation Structures and Policies
Develop, deploy, and manage compensation structures and job architecture for all functions, to ensure the achievement of equitable and competitive employee compensation. This includes day-to-day management of pay scales for different employee groups and across multiple geographical regions
Review proposed offers and salary adjustments for relevant market competitiveness as well as conformance to established guidelines, policies and practices.
Develop and manage year-end salary planning process, including budget and the allocation of the budget.
Evaluate existing jobs against internal and external benchmarking, ensuring pay practices are competitive and aligned with all federal and state requirements (i.e. FLSA, minimum wage, overtime regulations, etc.)
Develop and document procedures to streamline processes, improve operational efficiency and workflow, and guarantee adherence with regulatory requirements.
Lead job documentation, job descriptions, and related databases.
Benchmarking, Data Analysis and Reporting
Develop and manage relevant market pricing process, to include alignment of appropriate external benchmark surveys to internal positions to support readily available comparative analysis.
Serve as project lead for salary surveys and facilitate compensation processes. Maintain and prepare compensation related data.
Build and distribute necessary reports on a monthly basis - trend reports, overtime, rosters, metrics and analytics
Regularly provide workforce analyses to assess effectiveness and quality of compensation plans and programs. Generate reports, analyze data, summarize and present results as needed.
Partner support and communication
Partner with Talent teams, Finance, and others on a variety of projects including program design, analysis, budgeting, and implementation of new compensation programs as needed.
Serve as a liaison for compensation related matters with other functional teams including Benefits, Payroll, Finance, etc. Provide direction and implement corrective actions on issues related to compensation to management.
Ensure teams are trained and knowledgeable on compensation plans, processes, compliance requirements, rules, exception cases, etc.
Ensure effective communication and outstanding service to schools, regions, and home office.
Bachelor's in finance, Math, Statistics, Economics or Human Resources.
At least 4 years of increasingly responsible experience in compensation management and related processes and policies (e.g. payroll, time and attendance, etc.) including a minimum of two years of project management experience.
Expert knowledge of Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA) compliance and federal, state, and local laws, regulations.
Outstanding analytical skills, attention to detail, demonstrated ability to maintain a high degree of accuracy, skilled in manipulating data, ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
Advanced skills with analytical tools, especially MS Excel.
