SUMMARY: The I.S. Senior Ambulatory Analyst will work with multi-department leadership and/or SMEs to plan, design, validate, and confirm workflows and contents in the assigned electronic health record. The analyst will work with a team in the development, training, implementation, communication, maintenance, support and evaluation of new or existing functionality related to clinical and business information systems in support of clinical and business information systems in support of Ambulatory services. I.S. Senior Ambulatory Analyst will lead teams and function as a liaison between the Ambulatory and Physician Clinic staff members to ensure requests are reviewed, designed to enhance workflow and improve patient safety. I.S. Senior Ambulatory Analyst will lead others and help to facilitate development of programs and projects.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Demonstrates in-depth knowledge and techniques in supporting other Application Analyst. Also leads other Application Analyst in development of projects and complex problem-solving efforts
Proactively assesses system functioning and demonstrates the ability to recognize impending problems and correct them before work processes are disrupted
Analyzes application needs in the department and configures current applications or searches for new applications to support them. Incorporates feedback from the appropriate departmental personnel as applications are configured and developed
Demonstrates a comprehensive knowledge of supported platforms/products and environments
Utilizes best practices in the acquisition, development, and implementation of software. Identifies and documents system deficiencies and recommends solutions
Creates and maintains thorough electronic documentation regarding software applications and technical environment
Provides input into or may lead the development of milestones, deliverables, project plans, and timelines to assure that projects remain on-time, under budget, and achieve the objective as defined in existing project charters
Coordinates/participates in the development of backup, disaster recovery, business continuity, security, and administration and redundancy strategies
Initiates and maintains positive relationships with key customers and Co-Workers
Demonstrates effective communication with Physicians & clinic staff as well as other I.S. Department staff
Demonstrates effective training of Physician Clinic staff to include Front Office, Clinical & Physicians
Demonstrates effective analyzation of Clinical data and identify areas for improvement
Develop Test cases/scripts, review, and test the implementation of EHR upgrades
Proactively seeks opportunities to serve in leadership roles and facilitate IT and Business initiatives across departments
Participates in community and/or professional associations necessary to maintain and/or enhance skills and professional growth
Trains and mentors other team members through both formal and informal methods
Continually seeks opportunities to increase customer satisfaction and deepen client relationships and effectively managers client expectations effectively
Leads and monitors multiple large scale projects within multiple functional departments
Coordinates support for end users and physicians' day-to-day needs and provide education on changes and enhancements.
Advanced analytical and problem- solving skills
Serves as a mentor through cross-training and escalation support for analysts
Provides support in and travel to all service area facilities as needed by the business
Participates in team on-call rotations
Performs other duties as assigned by management.
Ability to work under stressful situation with frequent interruptions and changes in priorities.
Ability to work variable hours, including nights, evenings, holidays, weekends, etc.
EDUCATION/TRAINING/EXPERIENCE:
Cerner or similar EMR Experience Preferred
B.S. Degree in Computer Science or Allied Health discipline or equivalent relevant experience
5+ years of relevant IT experience required
Previous experience in an office clinic setting preferred
Experience working in a complex healthcare environment is required.
Advanced verbal and written communication skills required.
Advanced analytical skills required.
Advanced technical troubleshooting skills required.

Medium Work as defined by the U.S. Department of Labor constitutes a maximum lift of 21-50 pounds on occasion and/or a maximum lift of 11-25 pounds on a frequent basis
May be required to assist in the turning, lifting, or moving patients as well as walking about from patients' rooms, as well as to and from various hospital areas
