This position is within the Licensing Section of the Board of Nursing and is essential to the Board for license processing and regulation of Licensed Mental Health Technicians (LMHT), Licensed Practical Nurses (LPN), Registered Nurses (RN), Advanced Practice Registered Nurses (APRN), and Registered Nurse Anesthetists (RNA).

The Licensing Section processes over 35,000+ applications annually including licensure by examination, renewal, reinstatement, and endorsement.

This position is essential for license processing for the professions regulated by the Board of Nursing. The position completes all necessary administrative duties to process licenses, provide customer support, fingerprint applicants; using knowledge of regulations, policies, and office practices.

Special knowledge, skills and abilities:

  • Knowledge of office practices and procedures.

  • Ability to apply, interpret and explain operational rules, regulations, policies and procedures and making minor decisions.

  • Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing.

  • Ability to verify and compare figures accurately.

  • Ability to detect and reconcile discrepancies in records.

  • Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships.

  • Knowledge of fingerprint (scan) machines and interpreting finger print reports.

Pay Rate: $14.30 hourly; can vary depending upon experience and qualifications. This is a full-time unclassified position with benefits.
