Salary Range: $30,528.00

  • KCTCS is completing a compensation and classification study and the title and band for this position is subject to change July 1, 2024. The responsibilities and description of the position will not change.

Job Summary

Elizabethtown Community & Technical College is seeking a Senior Administrative Assistant to provide academic, administrative, and executive support to the Provost office.

Job Duties:

  • Serve as receptions for the Provost office by greeting visitors, answering phones, distributing mail, etc.

  • Schedule, organize, and secure resources for meetings, events, conferences, and travel.

  • Organize and oversee the faculty promotion process, including maintaining the promotion database, filing promotion letters of recommendation, and uploading portfolios to the OnBase system and ECTC files.

  • Calculate overloads for all full-time and part-time instructors and prepare the payroll report divisions and human resources.

  • Maintain procurement and budget for multiple accounts for the academic unit and Provost office.

  • Assist with highly confidential materials (e.g., evaluations, personal identification numbers, appeals, complaints) for the academic unit.

  • Work collaboratively with division chairs, division assistants, and human resources in processing adjunct faculty contracts for the full and first and second bi-term each semester.

  • Attend and take meeting minutes for Provost meetings, college council, QEP, SACSCOC steering committee, and others as they arise.

  • Maintain files and instructor transcripts.

  • Manage projects in the Provost office frequently involving other senior administrators of the college.

Minimum Qualifications:

Associate degree (related field) and three years of related work experience, or equivalent (high school and 5 years of related work experience).
