Job Summary

The Senior Administrative Assistant for the Legal Department at Continental Resources is a valued team member and assists CLR's General Counsel and Legal Team in maximizing their efficiency by providing administrative, clerical and secretarial support. Success in this role requires loyalty. Excellent interpersonal, written and verbal communication are essential. The Senior Administrative Assistant will be able to use organizational skills to manage office area and time and collaborate with Legal Team members in a fast-paced environment. The successful candidate will be able to establish trust with the members of the Legal Team and Continental employees.

Duties/Responsibilities

  • Serving Legal Department goals and functions

  • Planning and scheduling appointments, meetings and/or telephone and video conferences

  • Monitoring electronic invoices submitted by outside counsel and reviewing of UTMBS codes for accuracy

  • Managing incoming calls, providing information to callers or connecting callers to appropriate people

  • Making travel arrangements and reservations for Legal Department members

  • Composing and revising regular correspondence, pleadings, legal memos, reports, contracts, and other highly confidential documents

  • Creating spreadsheets and presentations

  • Preparing monthly expense reports for Legal Department members

  • Using customer service skills to provide Legal Department visitors and Continental employees with a positive experience

  • Administering and appropriate handling of Legal Department mail

  • Motivating Legal Department members to stay on-task while keeping a harmonious office environment

  • Ordering and organizing office supplies for Legal Department members

  • Handling of other duties as may be assigned

Education/Experience

  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited College or University

  • At least five (5) years of relevant experience; oil and gas experience or corporate legal department experience is preferred

  • An acceptable pre-employment background and drug test
