This is a staff position involving the review and analysis of operating procedures and the financial aspects of municipal programs. General supervision is received from a higher level employee. Related work is performed as required.
This is a Competitive Class position. The individual selected to fill this vacancy will be given a provisional appointment and will be required to participate in the next Civil Service Examination for this title.
A qualified applicant may be provisionally appointed and serve in the position until a Civil Service Examination is administered and an appropriate eligible list can be established to make a permanent appointment in accordance with the Civil Service Rule of Three. CITY RESIDENCY WILL BE REQUIRED WITHIN ONE YEAR OF HIRE.
Analyzes budget requests including capital expenditures;
Analyzes proposals and prepares grant applications;
Conducts feasibility studies and makes subsequent recommendations;
Reviews financial forms for accuracy and completeness;
Coordinates special projects as assigned;
Prepares applications to State/Federal agencies for funding various programs;
Prepares a variety of written and statistical reports;
May supervise and review the work of subordinates.
