If you are located in the MST, CST, EST time zone, you will have the flexibility to telecommute* as you take on some tough challenges.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Perform quarterly large group base rate reviews to ensure rate adequacy

  • Present findings directly to health plan leadership and functional partners

  • Prepare quarterly large group rate filings for submission to NY DFS

  • Respond to NY DFS objections and justify recommended pricing actions

  • Estimate impact of benefit changes for Sales and Underwriting

  • Price new products

  • Work with Product team to update the portfolio

  • Complete analyses and reporting to support the health plan's financial and membership objectives

  • Collaborate with Finance and Underwriting to forecast revenue

  • Implement rates and rating factors in quoting / renewal tools and sites

  • Lead projects with other analysts on the team

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree

  • 2+ years of Healthcare Actuarial Pricing experience

  • Participation in Society of Actuaries (ASA) exam program with the ambition and goal of attaining the Fellow of the Society of Actuaries (FSA) designation

  • Technical experience

  • Advanced or higher proficiency in MS Excel

  • Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively, including written and verbal forms of communication

  • Proven analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills

Preferred Qualifications:

  • ASA (Associate of the Society of Actuaries)
  • 4+ years of Healthcare Actuarial experience

Colorado Residents Only: The salary range for Colorado residents is $79,700 to $142,600. Position is responsible for meeting contractual obligations with Providers for ACO contracts. The role will work with multiple business units while managing their ACOs, including clinical, finance, and regional teams as well as the ACO themselves. Position produces financial statements, data analysis and facilitates Provider settlements. Position is also responsible for producing cyclical reports that evaluate the entire ACO program performance. Position has high visibility due to providing and presenting to team leaders from multiple business units. Opportunity to author new reports and improve upon current reports as business needs change. If you are located in EST area, you will have the flexibility to telecommute* as you take on some tough challenges. Ideally works EST hours.
