Tarantino is currently seeking a Senior Accounting Manager/Assistant Controller for the Multifamily division. This person must provide leadership, coordination and lead a team of 7-8 Staff Accountants and have a daily interaction with Regional Property Supervisors and on-site Managers with emphasis on coordinating efforts between all parties. Senior Accounting Manager/Assistant Controller must be the liaison between the accounting team, clients and management.

  • Responsible for the supervision of the Multifamily Accounting division

  • Supervise and review the compilation and delivery of monthly and quarterly financial reports to clients and lenders as well as internal use

  • Manage the accounting processes and procedures in order to continuously assess best practices.

  • Assist in the preparation of budgets or forecasts

  • Ensure the delivery of financial statements within the required client delivery date

  • Communicates regularly with accounting team, upper management, Multifamily Vice President of Operations and clients to discuss the financial performance of their properties and respond to accounting questions

  • Coordinate with on-site Managers and Regional Property Supervisors to provide efficient and cost-effective financial performance across multiple properties

  • Reports to the CFO


  • Six years of experience and three plus years of experience of supervisory accounting experience

  • Proven experience as Senior Accounting Manager or Assistant Controller

  • RealPage software experience is preferred

  • BA in Accounting or Finance

  • Excellent knowledge of accounting and financial processes (budgeting, financial closure, reporting etc.)

  • Understanding of data analysis and forecasting

Adhere to the highest degree of professional standards and strict client confidentiality. * Other duties as assigned * Bachelor's degree in accounting or a business-related field is required. An advanced degree (e.g. Masters in Accounting, MBA, etc.) is a plus. * 8-10 years of financial statement audit experience in a medium to large public accounting firm or a professional services firm is required.
