The Finance team is seeking a Senior Accounting Manager for North America. This person will own the monthly, quarterly and yearly financial close general ledger close process. In addition, s/he will also play an influential part collaborating with international peers to steer the success of the day-to-day finance team.
What You Will Be Doing:
You will ensure accuracy in our general ledger accounting and develop our small staff accountant team as they proactively keep pace with a rapidly growing business.
You will provide supervision and development opportunities for associates by hiring and training, mentoring, assigning duties, providing recognition, and ensuring diversity awareness.
In addition, you will:
Manage the preparation of audit schedules
Drive the account reconciliation process including review of accuracy, leading process improvements and providing training and guidance to team members
Collaborate on the development of financial accounting and reporting systems required to maintain accounting and reporting requirements
Review monthly financial statements and perform variance analysis and investigate differences.
Manage the accounts payable process and people
Supervise and review payroll
Review and approve bank payments
What You Bring Along:
Do you have experience developing an accounting team and steering processes to ensure efficiency and accuracy?
Are you eager to roll up your sleeves and get into the details to help set up the processes needed for an efficient, better Elastic accounting team?
If that's you, hopefully you also have:
An active CPA (mandatory)
Some experience working in the Big 4 (mandatory)
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, a related field or equivalent education required
7+ years of experience
Ability to work independently in a dynamic, fast-paced environment
The drive to be a great teammate and leader, able to work collaboratively within the group and cross-functionally with different departments
Ability to build strong professional relationships with business partners
Ability to handle multiple and sometimes competing priorities
