Senior Accounting Manager

Our client is seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented SeniorAccounting Manager to oversee the financial operations of our company. This role is critical in ensuring the accuracy of financial reporting, maintaining compliance with regulations, and driving strategic financial planning. The ideal candidate will have strong analytical skills, a deep understanding of accounting principles, and experience in risk management.

This is a remote role with occasional travel near Naperville, IL

Responsibilities:

Accounting & Financial Management:

• Oversee all accounting and bookkeeping functions, ensuring accuracy and compliance with financial regulations.
• Manage banking relationships, transactions, and cash flow operations.
• Prepare and analyze financial statements, reports, and forecasts.

Compliance & Risk Management:

• Ensure compliance with tax regulations, prepare and file tax documents, and oversee audits.
• Establish and maintain internal controls to safeguard company assets and financial integrity.
• Evaluate and manage financial risks to ensure business stability and growth.

Budgeting & Financial Strategy:

• Develop, monitor, and manage company budgets to optimize financial performance.
• Conduct in-depth financial analysis to assess company growth, profitability, and operational history.
• Provide strategic recommendations to leadership based on financial data and market trends.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; CPA or MBA preferred.
• 3+ years of experience in accounting, financial management, or a similar role.
• Experience in the cannabis industry highly preferred.
• Experience with raising capital highly preferred.
• Strong knowledge of GAAP, tax regulations, and financial compliance.
• Proficiency in accounting software and financial reporting tools.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and leadership skills.
• Ability to communicate complex financial information clearly to executives and stakeholders.

Compensation: $90,000-120,000 plus benefits!
