Introducing Nestl Purina's newest factory in the U.S. in Hartwell, Georgia just shy of 110 miles northeast of Atlanta. We're opening a state of the art distribution center in 2018 and production facility in 2019 our first new factory in over 20 years! We're thrilled to be joining the Hartwell, GA community and to welcome as many as 240 new members to the Nestl Purina family by 2023. One more than 100 acres, this 500,000 square foot facility will serve as our most versatile facility with the ability to switch product lines faster and more efficiently than we have ever done before producing and distributing the Nestl Purina brands our customer's trust and pets love.
As the Senior Accounting Coordinator, we'll count on you to assist with the creation, development, and support of Hartwell's new Accounting Department. You will have a key role in financial audits, maintain and develop the necessary accounting systems, among other accounting opportunities. The Factory Manager, engineers, forklift drivers, maintenance techs, admin, production folks and others will become your Purina Family. You'll join the heartbeat of our business and become part of the critical processes that allow us to delight our customers and consumers around the world.
Perform month-end closing functions and analysis reports
Journal entries, balance sheet reconciliations and accruals
Perform payroll function for hourly and salary positions and work collaboratively with supervisors to ensure payroll is completed accurately
Prepare, enter and get approval on invoices submitted to the Corporate Office
Perform other duties as assigned
High School Diploma or GED required
Associate's degree in accounting or similar discipline preferred
2+ years of general accounting experience in payroll, payables, or equivalent required
Intermediate level of proficiency with Microsoft Excel preferred (i.e. create formulas, pivot tables, v look-ups, etc.)
Strong analytical skills, detail oriented, and organizational skills
