Job Responsibilities
This is a hybrid position requiring proficient skills in both procurement and accounts receivable. Under general supervision, this position will workflow to provide centralized administrative support for the purchase of goods and services and the procurement reporting functions for the offices and divisions of the agency.
Relating to Accounts Receivables, perform primary cashier duties to ensure revenue collections and banking transactions are conducted in an accurate and timely manner. Processes, reviews and enters receipts ensuring that State and agency policies and procedures are followed, and accurate and timely receipts are recorded.
Knowledge of accounting principles and financial management. Ability to accurately enter and verify data.
Ability to interpret and apply financial procedures and regulations. Ability to proficiently apply mathematical concepts, establish and maintain effective working relationships, and communicate effectively.
Knowledge of legislation, regulations, policies and procedures governing the procurement of goods and services. Knowledge of the quality of materials being purchased.
Ability to analyze and evaluate factors in the awarding of purchases. Ability to provide quality customer service in response to customer/vendor inquiries. Ability to interpret and apply procurement and financial procedures and regulations.

Reviews, analyzes, and evaluates existing policies, programs, operations, procedures to develop improvements in efficiency, effectiveness, and productivity.
Minimum and Additional Requirements
A bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, business, or a related field and professional experience in a related area, such as accounting, auditing, finance, or banking.
Preferred Qualifications
At least 2 years experience in Accounts Receivable transactions and 1 year experience in state government procurement.
