The Role

The role is primarily responsible for daily accounting functions, monthly financial closings, and General Ledger reconciliations and analysis.

Specific duties & responsibilities will include but are not limited to

  • Create and enter journal entries

  • Perform monthly account analysis and reconciliations for various Income Statement and Balance Sheet accounts

  • Reconcile monthly inter-company account balances

  • Preparation and review of bank reconciliations

  • Assist with preparation and compilation of audit requests

  • Oversee invoicing for art collection software subscriptions

  • Ad-hoc financial/tax analysis and participation in projects as required

The Candidate

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance or Accounting

  • Certified Public Accountant (CPA)

  • Minimum 3 - 5 years of experience in finance roles displaying evidence of career progression

  • Excellent Microsoft Office skills, specifically Excel and Outlook

  • Strong attention to detail, innovative and collaborative

  • Willingness to be a "hands on" team player

  • Excellent written and oral communication skills

  • Quick learner and strong interpersonal skills

  • Excellent analytical and abstract reasoning skills, plus excellent organization skills

  • Knowledge of JD Edwards preferred

Initial Responsibilities: * Preparation of financial statements in accordance with US GAAP Investment Company Accounting and/or IFRS * Interact with the external audit and tax reporting processes with big 4 firms * Compile, analyze and prepare funds' financial data and operating metrics * Prepare investor reports, capital call and distribution notices * Maintain investor commitments and capital account statements * Support marketing team with due diligence responses, data collection and adhoc requests * Assist and coordinate with other departments in responding to inquiries from investors * Calculate management fee and waterfall calculations * Assist with providing financial information needed for compliance and regulatory filings * Daily interaction with fund administrator Requirements: * This position offers excellent opportunities in a dynamic environment.
