GR Reid Associates, LLP, is seeking a Senior Tax Accountant / Preparer to join our independent certified public accounting and consulting services firm offering a full-range of services to most major business markets.
We are a rapidly growing CPA Firm looking for a qualified and dedicated Senior Tax Accountant / Preparer . Tremendous opportunity for qualified candidate that is looking to be on the partner track.
We are seeking an individual with 2-5 plus years experience with an emphasis in the preparation and review of financial statements with clients across a diverse range of industrys to help our growing compilation, review, and audit practice. Candidate should possess knowledge of current and new accounting pronouncements, display an understanding of GAAP and OCBOA, supervise junior staff members, and interact with senior professionals such as Partners and Managers. Candidate should also be proficient in the preparation of Corporate, Partnership and Individual tax returns.
Planning and performing audits
Review with Manager or Partner any significant audit findings, financial statement presentation or other matters
Prepare or review financial statements, notes, schedules, management letters, reports, systems, policies and procedures for discussion with the client.
Prepare financial statements and applicable footnote disclosures.
Identifying business process risks
Developing testing methodologies to evaluate the adequacy of controls
Documenting the results of the evaluations
Developing recommendations and reports based on audits and presenting these ideas to client management
Supervise staff members
Interact with senior level professionals at client site
Identify and communicate audit matters to audit partners
Prepare Tax returns for Corporations, Partnerships and Individuals
Bachelors in Accounting
Must be a CPA
3-5 years of recent, continuous CPA firm experience
Ability to communicate with business owners and personnel
A team player that possesses a positive, can do attitude with a firm first mindset
Have the ambition to move to partner level by exhibiting a partner mind and skill set and demonstrate these traits through actions and demeanor
Assume responsibility for planning, supervising, and completing engagements.
Plan the timing and assigning of staff to engagements
Review engagement work papers, resolve any problems, and keep the partner informed of all important developments in the engagement.
Supervise staff accountants, provide feedback to them, and evaluate their progress.
Become an expert in assigned areas.
Develop new client contacts and relationships beneficial to the firm.
Assist in administrative functions as assigned by the partners.
Recognize opportunities to provide additional services to existing clients and efficiencies within the workplace.
