Your Responsibilities

• Prepare margin-related journal entries and perform account reconciliation reviews and fluctuation analysis in support of timely and accurate month-end financial reporting.

• Lead Sales Tax initiatives and compliance, including sales tax audit support, as well as supporting ongoing evaluation of item classification.

• Support cross-functional fraud mitigation efforts through financial analysis and modeling.

• Develop new and maintain existing partner billings and ensure ongoing completeness and accuracy.

• Continually seek to improve and automate existing processes.

• Enhance documentation of business processes and accounting policies to maintain and strengthen internal controls

• Perform ad-hoc analysis and special projects.

Requirements

• Undergraduate degree in Accounting

• Strong understanding of GAAP

• 3+ years of relevant Accounting or Finance experience

• Excellent modeling skills (e.g., Microsoft Excel); ability to build detailed financial models

• Proficiency with SQL and Tableau (or strong interest in learning)

• Strong business problem solving, judgment and prioritization

• Strong written and verbal communication skills, ability to cultivate cross-functional relationships and communicate effectively with management and business partners

• Ability to work successfully in an ambiguous, fast-paced and ever-changing environment

• Curious mindset with a focus on process improvement

Nice to Haves

• CPA
• Previous experience with Workday ERP

Work Arrangement:

Shipt considers candidates located near a Shipt office or workspace in Birmingham, San Francisco, or Minneapolis to be hybrid, which means that they have the flexibility to work from home (with leader approval) or at a Shipt office in order to facilitate the ability to innovate, collaborate, and spark team connections.
