Main purpose of the Sr Staff Accountant role:

This is a full time role for a candidate who establishes financial status by developing and implementing systems for collecting, analyzing, verifying, and reporting financial information; managing staff.

Major Responsibilities:

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

  • Supporting month-end and year-end close

  • Preparing financial statements, journal entries and account reconciliations. Ensure accuracy of accounting and financial data.

  • Reconciling sub-ledger to general ledger account balances

  • Research and resolve accounting issues

  • Generate reports and financial analysis

  • Assist with budgeting and forecasting

  • Prepare audit schedules and provide information to external auditors

  • Develop recommendations to optimize company's accounting systems and procedures and detect inaccuracies

  • Support business processes and accounting policies and prepare corresponding documentation

  • Ensure that accounting procedures comply with GAAP requirements

  • Manage and mentor Staff Accountants

  • Support Manager with ad hoc projects.

To perform the job successfully, an individual should demonstrate the following competencies:

Required Competencies:

  • BA/BS/MS in Accounting- CPA is strongly preferred

  • 4+ years of corporate accounting and finance experience

  • Combination of public and private accounting experience preferred

  • Strong analytical and financial modeling skills.

  • Deep Excel skills including data analysis & forward-looking modeling capabilities

  • Advanced knowledge of SQL

  • Ability to present financial analysis as a story in an easy to understand manner to multiple types of audiences

  • Experience with ERP system design and functionality

  • Tech savvy. Loves Technology.

  • Superior written and verbal communication skills as well as interpersonal skills

  • Detail-oriented, organized and ability to multi-task and shift priorities quickly while maintaining control of deliverables

  • Highly motivated and able to thrive and think clearly under pressure and tight deadlines

  • Team player with a positive attitude

  • Mover, shaker. Out of the box finance person

  • Previous experience in the retail/ecommerce industry is preferred

For individuals assigned and/or hired to work in California, Revolve includes a reasonable estimate of the salary or hourly rate range for this role. This takes into account the wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions; including but not limited to business or organizational needs, skill sets, experience and training, licensure, and certifications.

A reasonable estimate of the current salary rate is $90,000- $110,000 per year.
