We are currently looking for a Senior Accountant to join our team in Atlanta.
Essential Functions:
Verify, allocate, post and reconcile accounts payable and receivable
Produce error-free accounting reports and present their results
Analyze financial information and summarize financial status
Spot errors and suggest ways to improve efficiency and spending
Provide technical support and advice on management accounting
Review and recommend modifications to accounting systems and procedures
Lead accounting assistants and bookkeepers
Participate in financial standards setting and in forecast process
Provide input into department's goal setting process
Prepare financial statements and produce budget according to schedule
Assist with tax audits and tax returns
Support month-end and year-end close process
Develop and document business processes and accounting policies to maintain and strengthen internal controls
Ensure compliance with GAAP principles
Assist and maintain intercompany transactions among multiple legal entities
Manage and review sales tax prepared by automated tax software.
Prepare local and state annual and quarterly compliance returns.
Manage state notices and state registration for multiple entities where nexus applies.
Education & Experience Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance or related field or equivalent work experience in lieu of degree is required
3-5 years of relevant experience in accounting or accounts payable required
CPA certification preferred
Experience with Netsuite a plus
Advanced excel skills
Experience with accounting close and preparation of financial statements
Strong knowledge of GAAP a plus
Experience working in a high growth technology or SaaS company preferred
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Ability to multitask and meet strict deadlines
Organization, prioritization, attention to detail, and problem-solving skills
Compensation:
For positions filled in the United States, the typical salary range for this type of position is $70,000-$100,000 USD. Ranges are based on various factors including the labor market, job type, job level, internal equity, and budget. Exact salary offers will be determined by factors such as the candidate's skills, qualifications, experience, and geographic location.
