About this role
This position directs analysis and accounting for a proposed MoPOP NYC museum. The museum would be located in a historic building that will be designed to showcase the cultural capital of NYC. This position will work cooperatively with Vulcan affiliates and stakeholders in the project, including Vulcan Arts and Entertainment, museum staff, and the development team and establish accounting, reporting and financial control systems to support the project's value creation efforts.
The successful candidate must be a skilled communicator with expertise working with people of varied backgrounds and experiences. This role will be responsible for:
Defining standards for monthly reporting related to the project managed by development partners and stakeholders. Communicate those standards to key stakeholders and support incoming inquiries.
Producing monthly, quarterly, and annual reports that capture development and the critical financial elements of the development project.
Generating, analyze, and communicate financial data that reflects actual financial performance against approved project budgets.
Providing detailed financial and operational analysis for ad hoc requests.
Ensuring expenses are reviewed and invoices are paid on schedule.

The experience, education and skillset that would make you ideal for this role
Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or equivalent, or an advanced degree in a related field.
Experience in report writing and the utilization of various financial software applications.
Organized with ability to prioritize workload with an analytical approach to tasks.
Ability to communicate with internal and external stakeholders and senior management in a professional manner with limited supervision.
Ability to effectively respond to requests or questions from managers and colleagues in both written and oral form.
High degree of flexibility and customer service attitude.
Public accounting experience.
Budgeting and forecasting experience.
Relevant work experience in the real estate industry.
