Senior Accountant

Currently seeking an accounting professional who is highly motivated and organized to join an ever growing accounting team in the greater Phoenix Area.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare and record asset, liability, and expense and revenue entries by compiling and analyzing account information

  • Summarize financial status by collecting information; preparing balance sheet; profit and loss; and other statements

  • Maintain subsidiary accounts by allocating, verifying, posting and reconciling transaction

  • Maintain general ledger by transferring subsidiary accounts and preparing the trial balance

  • Assist in analyzing and preparing the budget

  • Assist in the preparation and review of internal controls

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting and Finance Required

  • 4-7 years accounting experience

  • Knowledge and experience in financial statement review and reconciliation

Salary Range

  • $65k-$80k

  • Excellent Benefits package and 401(k) match

VIEW JOBS 11/16/2018 12:00:00 AM 2019-02-14T00:00 Job Scope The Sr. Accountant will be the primary resource for a variety offunctions in the accounting department. Duties include balancing the dailyjournal transactions and monitoring of interfaces of subsidiary ledgers andsystems into the consolidated host ledger. This role includes thereconciliation, monitoring, and review of assigned income, expense, and balancesheet accounts. Responsibilities also include assisting in the preparation,review, analysis and publication of monthly/quarterly/annual financialstatements. This individual will be required to process various assignedjournals for the period close, maintain reports, and participate in budgetingfor assigned accounts and business areas. The role will have responsibility foroccupancy, accounting including lease accounting and company bonus plancalculations. The individual will be responsible for providing reconciliationand reporting support and backup for various duties as assigned. Day-to-Day * Oversee Occupancy Accounting including lease and property accounting * Calculation and reporting of operational bonus plans * Prepare monthly journal entries * Accounting for Freight Expense and reserves * Reconcile and review assigned balance sheet accounts on a monthly basis * Assist with internal financial analysis and reporting as requested * Perform period close functions Qualifications * Bachelor's degree or Master's degree in Accounting * CPA preferred * 3-5 years' work experience. * Proficient with Microsoft Excel, Word, Windows (v2007 ornewer) * Familiar with Microsoft Access or similar database queryand reporting tools * Good written and oral communication ability * Experience with accounting processes, journal entries,allocations and accruals * Strong interpersonal and multi-tasking skills * Highly analytical, organized, and motivated to excel inall assignments * Innovative, self-starter, and a team player The Customer Support Center (Corporate Office) is located in Phoenix, Arizona.
