Senior Accountant

Summary:

Our award-winning client is seeking a Senior Accountant to join their team.Our client, a leading environmental waste services company in Hoffman Estates, IL, seeks a motivated Senior Accountant to join their growing team. Responsibilities:

• Ensure accurate and timely accounting & analysis, empowering informed business decisions.

• Drive process improvement and lead with transparency while collaborating across departments.

• Handle all aspects of the general ledger close cycle (month-end, quarter-end, year-end).

• Maintain the integrity of financial information & reconcile balance sheet accounts.

• Analyze financial reports, trends, and support business leaders in understanding performance.

• Assist with external and internal audits, ensuring compliance with internal controls.

• Develop and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and accuracy.

Required Qualifications:

• 3-8 years' experience in corporate accounting, public accounting, internal audit, or similar.

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field (CPA strongly preferred).

• Strong understanding of US GAAP accounting principles.

• Excellent teamwork, communication, and problem-solving skills.

• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other Office applications (NetSuite & Coupa a plus).
