PACCAR's Information Technology Division (ITD), located in Renton, WA utilizes cutting-edge technology to provide systems development, consulting, voice and data communications services to the entire Corporation, which has high visibility in the technology sector.
The position reports to the Accounting Supervisor for Project Accounting and is responsible for performing a variety of closing and project accounting activities within the Controller's organization. Responsibilities include month-end closing, financial reporting, forecasting and budgeting, and project accounting. The ideal candidate will interact closely with various department managers within the Information Technology division and personnel throughout the Controllers' organization.
Job Functions / Responsibilities
Project Accounting: Prepare timely and accurate analytical reports and accounts reconciliations. Prepare various management reports including those containing global consolidated information. Support the quarterly analysis for PACCAR Senior Management. Ensure fixed assets and associated depreciation are recorded timely and accurately.
Month-end: Support the month-end cycle by preparing various journal entries, analyzing key accounts and reporting results to the financial reporting group. Review of project expenditures and actual to budget comparisons. Support the preparation of the executive financial comments.
Forecast: Prepare the monthly forecasts including variance analysis. Facilitate the annual overhead budget process including presentation preparation to senior executive management.
Special Projects: Assist with special projects including system implementations, initiating various process improvements utilizing Six Sigma tools, etc.
Minimum of 3 years of relevant accounting experience
Excellent analytical and technical accounting skills required
Accomplished leadership skills, emphasizing continuous improvement
Excellent written and verbal communications skills
Strong organizational skills required with the ability to work independently, handling multiple tasks and changing priorities while meeting non-negotiable deadlines
Attention to detail with a "big picture" focus
Proficient computer skills including Excel, Word, PowerPoint and Access; SAP experience a plus
Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or Finance required
CPA Professional Certification preferred
