Role Summary

The Senior Accountant will manage account reconciliations, maintain the general ledger, and handle month-end close procedures. The ideal candidate will possess strong analytical skills and a solid understanding of accounting principles to effectively analyze financial reports and forecasts.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and document business processes and accounting policies to enhance internal controls.
  • Support funding and disbursement processes.
  • Perform general ledger account and bank reconciliations.
  • Ensure compliance with GAAP standards.
  • Assist in preparing financial statements and post-close analysis.
  • Direct internal and external audits to ensure compliance.
  • Assist with tax audits and tax returns.
  • Support month-end and year-end close processes.
  • Identify errors and suggest improvements to enhance efficiency and reduce spending.
  • Analyze financial information and summarize financial status.
  • Other assigned duties and responsibilities.

Qualifications and Skills

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting is required.
  • At least 6 years of accounting experience.
  • Master's degree in Accounting is a plus.
  • Strong organizational, problem-solving, and analytical abilities.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks in a high-volume, fast-paced environment.
  • Intermediate Excel skills (VLOOKUPs, IF statements, Pivot tables) are necessary.
  • Experience with QuickBooks and NetSuite is essential.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Responsible, dependable, and professional demeanor.
  • Experience in equipment leasing is a plus.

Compensation

  • Salary Range: $80,000 - $93,000
