Global medical device manufacturing company with three primary Business Units focused on clinical products for the healthcare industry. Nearly 750 employees across the United States and internationally.

General Summary:
As a Senior Accountant, you will become part of a dynamic accounting team that utilizes innovation and technology to conduct all accounting activities and generate global financial reports.
You will work in a department alongside passionate and creative professionals who seek to transform accounting using interactive data, advanced analytics, and robotics.
Essential Job Functions:
Responsible for the month-end close process and developing operational efficiencies
Conduct financial analysis for accuracy using data blending and advanced data analytics
Prepare monthly, quarterly and annual financial schedules
Research technical accounting complexities
Execute special projects in short sprints
Chart of account maintenance
Coordinate and prepare deliverables for annual audits with external auditors

Bachelors degree
Masters degree (preferred)
Certified Public Accountant (CPA)
5 to 7 years in private and public (Big4) accounting
In-depth understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP)
Possess or strong desire to utilize data blending, advanced data analytics, and robotics (RPA) in accounting
Microsoft Office Suite knowledge, Oracle a plus
Demonstrate written and oral communication skill

Candidates must have 5-7 years experience, with at least 3 years in Big 4 (Would consider straight public)
This is a true finance role with technical accounting involved: ASC 606 (Rev Rec), understand robotics work (automation of all systems)
CPA required

Role is reporting to Ernst Zewicker (phenomenal mentor, worked for Pfizer; implements new accounting processes).

FP&A group is about 35 people in Wayland. 45-50 total FP&A reporting to CFO.

VIEW JOBS 12/21/2018 12:00:00 AM 2019-03-21T00:00 We are seeking candidates for the position of Senior Accountant to support our global controllership function as well as our financial operations in Asia, EMEA, Americas and Japan. Successful candidates will possess superior analytical and technical skills and will report to the Director, Assistant Global Controller of Sciex. Responsibilities: * Provide timely and accurate consolidated information under close deadlines to support internal reporting requirements as well as monthly, quarterly and annual Corporate reporting requirements: * Responsible for monthly global consolidation of actual results for the P&L and balance sheet used by the CFO/Finance team and also for Danaher (DHR) Corporate. * Prepare and analyze the monthly financial package for the senior finance team and Danaher management. * Analyze monthly operating results of each region. * Input and review monthly/quarterly Danaher statistics, leadership metrics, and supplemental files. * Act as a resource and liaison between Danaher and regional finance leads to communicate new reporting requirements, changes and other information required to ensure compliance with reporting requirements. * Provide timely communications to regional finance leads, including communication of the monthly close calendar and related flash reviews, to meet close deadlines. * Coordinate and support Corporate activities and initiatives with finance leaders in Asia, Europe, Americas and Japan under close deadlines. * Participate in and act as a resource for global finance projects and initiatives aimed at improving efficiency, increasing standard work and creating global best practice processes. * Assist in the maintenance of a strong SOX-compliant control environment including participation in the anti-corruption self-testing process. * Support business audits conducted by external and internal auditors, as required. * Assist in the maintenance and enforcement of internal authorization levels including compliance with the Approval Matrix. * Support, as required, the integration of acquisitions including the monitoring of purchase accounting activity as well as post acquisition integration activities. * Provide support to financial operations in the areas of general accounting, commercial support, planning & forecasting, and any other accounting/finance related activities deemed appropriate to be added to the Shared Service Center for North and South America. * Support functional areas, as required, by providing financial and business analytic support. * Work closely with the FP&A function in business support and analysis, as required. * Participate in continuous improvement activities within the functional area as well as throughout the organization. * SCIEX systems expert: Oracle, Hyperion Planning and Enterprise applications, HFM. * Provide detailed on-going financial support to aid in meeting Controllership goals and objectives. * BS/BA in Finance/Accounting * 10 years of increasing responsibility in consolidation and financial analysis roles, preferably in a multinational or publicly-traded organization possessing manufacturing operations.
