Moffatt & Nichol is actively searching for a Senior Accountant to join our Corporate Accounting branch located in our Long Beach office.
Duties and responsibilities:
Responsible for month-end financial close process
Strong GL reconciliations
Process/review various journal entries, including deferred rent, depreciation/amortization, accruals, and etc.
Perform financial flux analysis and identify trends and variances
Compile consolidated financial statements, including balance sheet, income statement, equity statement and cash flow statement
Heavily engaged in financial audit and assist in audit report preparation including disclosures
Strong knowledge of GAAP/General Accepted Accounting Principals
Knowledge/experience with FAR overhead (preferred but not required)
Compile financial report and ad hoc reports for quarterly board reporting package
Strong knowledge in accounting process and procedure, and internal controls
Seeking improvement and enhancement in process and controls

Minimum 5 years of accounting experiences in public and/or private Engineering industry
Bachelor degree in financial or accounting or business related
CPA is preferred but not required
Audit experience is preferred but not required
Strong verbal and written communication skills
