Senior Accountant

Job Description Job Description LUDWIG Business Consultants is a cutting-edge accounting firm that specializes in outsourced accounting and business solutions. We are seeking a Full-time Accountant to join our growing firm who can take charge and hit the ground running.

Responsibilities include reconciling account balances and bank statements, maintaining general ledger and preparing month-end close procedures. A successful Accountant combines excellent analytical skills with a thorough knowledge of accounting principles to analyze financial reports. The ideal candidate also has experience collaborating as a team and will report to the Senior Director of Operations.

LUDWIG BUSINESS CONSULTANTS HAS BEEN RECOGNIZED AS A PHILADELPHIA100 FASTEST GROWING COMPANY FOR 2021 RESPONSIBILITIES: • Verify, allocate, post, and reconcile accounts payable and receivables. • Prepare financial statements and produce budget according to schedule. • Develop and document business processes and accounting policies to maintain and strengthen internal controls for clients. • Spot errors and suggest ways to improve efficiency and spending. • Analyze financial information and summarize financial status. • Prepare month end and year end close process. • Produce error free accounting reports and present their results. REQUIREMENTS: • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance. • 4 years of experience as an accountant for a small to mid-size company. • In-depth understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles. • Accuracy and attention to detail • Advanced Excel skills required. • Hands on experience with QuickBooks • Experience with general ledger functions and the month-end/year-end close process. • Outstanding communication skills and positive attitude • Tax return preparation a plus • Willingness to travel to client offices in and around the Philadelphia region • Proven ability to portray the LUDWIG culture of EXCELLENCE while working independently.
